Online registration is now open for the popular Airtel Delhi Half Marathon which is going to happen on Sunday, November 20, 2016. 

The Entry fee for the Half Marathon is Rs 1700, Great Delhi Run will be Rs.600, Senior Citizen’s run is Rs 300 and Champions with Disability is Rs. 250.

Over 34,000 participants from different corners of the world are expected to take centre-stage on one of the fastest half marathon courses worldwide, giving participants a beautiful glimpse of the iconic structures in the historic city, which includes Parliament House, Rajpath, India Gate, Delhi Golf Club, Lodhi Road, Sansad Marg among others.

What’s new this year:

ORSL: Keeping in line with the vision of anticipating needs of the runners and creating solutions to enrich the running experience at the ADHM 2016, ORSL extends its help in restoring electrolytes & energy to the zestful and vibrant running community by associating with the event as a Restoration Partner.

PUMA Race Day Tee: As an added motivation for all the half marathon participants, PUMA has introduced the exclusive PUMA Race Day Tee. This will be presented to all the Half Marathon participants.

Prize Money: The ninth edition of the event offers an overall prize money of USD 2,70,000.

An additional incentive for elite runners breaking the course record is, INR 1,50,000 for Indian elites and overall course record jackpot of USD 8,000 for men and women. Another exciting introduction to the category is a bonus of USD 9,000 for the man and woman beating the fastest half marathon time of the year 2016 as on ADHM race day, 20th November 2016.

Compulsory timed race: Continuing in its constant endeavour to evolve and owing to the increase in the number of serious participants each year, henceforth the event will only accept applications from runners who have attached a valid timing certificate of their run from the previous 24 months. Applicants who do not fall within the timed runner criteria can avail of the running places that have been allotted to the NGOs registered with India Cares, the event’s Philanthropy Partner. These running places will be available with the respective NGOs from 30th August – 07th October or as soon as running places are filled, whichever is earlier. In addition to this, the event will offer priority starts to participants based on their timing certificate.

To encourage female participation there are limited number of running spots in the half marathon reserved exclusively for non-timed women applicants.
