Procam International today announced the launch of the 13th edition of Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2016 (SCMM) which will be held on Sunday, 17th January, 2016. Registrations for the most awaited category, the Half Marathon will open from 10.00 am on Thursday, 30th July 2015 and close on Saturday, 28th August 2015 or when filled to capacity, whichever is earlier.

Registrations for the Full Marathon and DHL Corporate Champions were opened from 21st July 2015 onwards. The physical modes of registration at Standard Chartered Bank branches will close on Saturday, 19th September, 2015 or when filled to capacity, whichever is earlier. Depending on the participation numbers, registrations through online applications and P.O Box entries for the Full Marathon will remain open until Saturday, 28th November, 2015 or when filled to capacity, whichever is earlier.

Registrations for the popular Dream Run will open from 10.00 am on Tuesday, 18th August 2015, and close on Friday, 21st August 2015, while registrations for the Senior Citizens’ Run and Champions with Disability will open on Monday, 24th August 2015, and close on Saturday, 19th September 2015, or when filled to capacity, whichever is earlier.

There are 4,500 running places on offer for the Full Marathon, while 15,000 places will be available for the Half Marathon. The Dream Run, including the DHL Corporate Champions, will accommodate 20,200 participants. 1500 entries will be permitted in the Senior Citizens’ Run, 300 entries for the Champions with Disability Event, putting the total number of entries accepted at 41,500.

Confirmed applicants of the full and half marathon, will also be eligible for priority line up on race day, based on their finish times as submitted in their timing certificate.

The full marathon runners will be prioritized in four line up sections on race day as per the timing certificate submitted along with their applications, namely under 4 hours 13 minutes; 4 hours 13 minutes to under 4 hours 55 minutes; 4 hours 55 minutes to under 5 hours 37 minutes and 5 hours 37 minutes and above.

The half marathon will be prioritized in seven line up sections on race day as per their timing certificates submitted during registration, namely under 1 hour 25 minutes; 1 hour 25 minutes to under 1 hour 46 minutes; 1 hour 46 minutes to under 2 hours; 2 hours to under 2 hours 12 minutes; 2 hours 12 minutes to under 2 hours 30 minutes; 2 hours 30 minutes to under 2 hours 55 minutes and 2 hours 55 minutes and above.
