Train for Humidity First
Even winter races in coastal India carry 65–80% humidity at race time. Do at least 4–6 long runs in similar conditions, ideally between 6–9 AM. Your pace will feel slower — that is normal and expected.

Salt loss in coastal conditions is significantly higher than dry-weather racing. Practise your hydration plan in training — electrolyte tabs or sachets every 5–7K work better than gels alone on humid courses.

Sea-level flat courses feel deceptively easy in the first 15K. Going out at goal pace in high humidity almost always results in a blow-up after 30K. A negative split approach saves more time than it loses early on.
