Creating New Year resolutions is easy, but following and maintaining them is a tedious task. However, changing your lifestyle and adding a healthy routine would go a long way in keeping you fit!

Some of the things that you can follow are exercising daily, eating better, keeping the body hydrated and taking proper sleep. Let us have a look at the ultimate health regime you can follow in 2019 to promise yourself a better version of you.

Set a Goal for Yourself

Before knowing how to achieve, it is important to know what to achieve. Define a goal for yourself and ensure that you take measures to fulfil your goal. Your goal can be to lose weight, keep yourself fitter, incorporate clean eating, quit smoking, adapt to a healthy lifestyle have a balanced diet or anything else. Keeping in mind your goals, create a plan for yourself and work towards achieving your goal.

Drink Plenty of Water

It is extremely important to keep the body hydrated in order to keep it running efficiently. Also, drinking water helps in flushing out toxins, boosts immunity, improves skin to name just a few. People who do not like having plain water can try infused water.

Make Fitness Fun

Working out can be a lot of fun when done with a buddy. Ask your partner or friend to join you in your fitness goals and hit the gym together or workout at home. If gymming is not something that you like, you can also choose to join Zumba or aerobics together.

Walk Whenever Possible

Needless to say, walking is a good exercise. Take a walk whenever possible. If your office is in proximity to your home, you can opt to walk till your office in the morning and back to your home in the evening. Take a break of at least 10 minutes after lunch and take a stroll within the office premises.

Include Spices in Your Meals

Spices like turmeric, cinnamon, garlic etc. have numerous health benefits. Do not overuse these spices, but try and incorporate them in your cooking whenever possible. Spices have antioxidants which are extremely helpful for the body.

Add Vegetables and Fruits to Your Meals

Adding vegetables and fruits to your diet has numerous benefits. Plant-based eating is highly recommended by renowned dieticians and nutritionists. Adding fruits and vegetable to your diet helps in the prevention of diseases and improves overall wellness.

Go to Sleep Early

It is extremely important to get a sound sleep but if you are a late sleeper, bringing a sudden change in your sleeping pattern is not possible. The best way to improve your sleeping time is by going to bed 15 minutes before your normal sleeping time. Gradually increase your daily sleep time by 15 minutes. In no time you will find yourself sleeping way before then you used to.

Opt for Stairs

Choosing stairs insisted of the elevator or lift might seem like a minor change, but it can make a huge difference to your health in the long run. It is advisable to choose the stairs whenever possible. This way you will be able to burn some calories without putting in too much effort.
